Many of you have read the stories Ken Cooper has sent regarding the listings so You may not be surprised to read this yarn and remember he drinks a lot…We love him and his stories anyway..
Clem "Clambone" Clankey was happy when he purchased his Rado Voyager watch from Bernard's fine watches. He had saved for years to own an Rado watch from his small but adequate earnings as a fisherman on the vast Pacific Ocean. His fishing craft was named the Cherry Shack for all the fond memories he had of Japan while stationed there in the military at Camp Zama. That fateful night, for some reason, he took it off and placed the watch in his footlocker. As he looked over the vast ocean a shiver ran through him as he thought of just disappearing without a trace. Suddenly the boat shook and old Clambone fell overboard into a large conduit with red walls and sharp teeth. Before the jaws closed on him his last thought was of his Rado watch safely on board ship. The next morning Fred "The Slickster" Fudster found Clambone's boat floating with no one aboard. Calling the Coast Guard, Fred then searched the craft looking for goodies, and upon discovering the watch he quickly pocketed it. After the Coast Guard arrived Fred headed for port where he quickly sold the Rado to The Sea Hag's Loan & Pawn shop. The watch sat for a few months until Shrimp (Shrimpy) Stonemaster bought it for his personal use. Shrimp took good care of the Rado timepiece for many years until he passed away from a fall off his back porch. The Rado watch was purchased by a large wristed, friendly man called Girard (also known as the ice-cream kid) who had the Rado cleaned, polished and then placed for sale on his rather large and extensive website. It's a great buy with a great story. The only question is who or what ate Clambone in the vast reaches of the Pacific? Purchasing this watch use Girard's world famous layaway plan and ask Girard how much pumpkin ice cream he gobbles during halloween.
