Our west coast sales manager Mr. Ken Cooper who at times visits the local beer haul to find the history, or what he says he thinks is the true history of our watches but I will leave it up to you to decide true or false this account.
Mr Adam S. Gummer spent a horrible day at work and was heading home to his tiny, rusting mobile home at :Snerd's Trailer Ranch Round-up". Adam had ruined a batch of machined parts(he was drunk)and then was caught lying to his boss by blaming a co-worker. Fired & hung over he headed home in his ancient Yugo only to be "T-Boned" by a drunken red light runner. Mr Gummer spent months in "Porter's Hospital" recovering while his sly lawyer, Mr Peep Nadles Esq, worked on his law suit against the other (at fault) driver. Upon discharge from the hospital Adam learned his was receiving a huge settlement from the accident. Months passed & Adam bought a new Mido Multifort timepiece and began the "good life" by being drunk by 10:00 AM every day. One day, forgetting to put his Mido timepiece on, Adam, drunk as a skunk, was struck while jay walking and rushed again to Porter's Hospital where the doctors' moved him into Porter's Rest & Funeral home to live out his few remaining days soiling his garments and releasing methane gas. His girl friend, Mauy Moaner, was allowed by the county to sell his earthly goods. Before departing for SE Asia to raise poison vipers, Mauy sold his great running new time piece to Girard's Watches. When wearing this great running watch please remember the pitfalls of drinking too much of the "Demon Rum".
First let me remind you when this watch was made they were small like boys size that measure 20 mm from side to side and 36 mm lug end to lug end and has a 17 mm band where it attaches to this watch. Stainless steel case has screw on back and the numbers are; inside back 6430 Vl 66 along with all the proper Rolex markings. On the case 12 side 6430 on the 6 side 1480618. This watch will come in an aftermarket Rolex box.
My West Coast sales manager Ken Cooper is back with some fine history of some of the watches listed here. So many of you requested more history from Ken so here is one that you should love, Thank you Ken…
Frank "Ace" Kittener purchased this Rolex SpeedKing wristwatch after he retired from auto racing. He just love the name "SpeedKing" as he lived a life of "Speed". He had been a Captain in the Air Force in 1951 and Frank's first fighter plane was a F-80 Shooting Star but at the Korean war's end his was an "Ace" flying a hot F-86 fighter. Upon discharge 1954, Frank was still full of fire and entered the stock car boom that was just starting and soon established himself as the person to beat. In the early 1950s Frank switched to the new inline 6 cylinder Hudson Hornet. With it's low center of gravity, excellent racing weight, and it's large and powerful 6 cylinder engine he dominated all other makes and models on the track. He raced on dirt and paved track but always finished "in the money." His legion of fans called him "The Speed King" as his skill and style of driving was so good. He felt that he must he have the very best watch a person could have so in the early 1960s he purchase this great Rolex SpeedKing timepiece and always saw to it's care. As he aged Frank retired from racing and opened a small chain of auto oil change shops. He was always seen wearing his beautiful Rolex watch when he visited each shop monthly. When he entered the "Twilight" of his life he sold his well taken care Rolex watch to Girard's Watches knowing the watch would soon have a good owner who appreciates fine things and would enjoy the history behind this fine timepiece and then moved into Porter's Rest & Funeral home to live out his remaining days. Girard now offers this timepiece with history and style for sale at a great price for knowing customers.

Mr. Ken Cooper is our west coast sales manager and is known for spending many days digging up the past history of watches we are selling but I must tell you that Mr. Ken Cooper has been known to gulp large amounts of tea cut with Mr. Jack Daniels and reading the tea leaves left in the bottom of his large cup. Sometimes he reads these in the dark so understand that Kens stories go a little far out but we love him and his yarns.
Mister Bunny Bunmaster who was always looking for ways to increase his income had a brilliant idea - he would invent & build a rechargeable quartz timepiece. Never needing a battery change Bunny felt it would be a real money maker. Working at Sneed's electrical repair shop gave Bunny the confidence he could not only invent the watch but build it right there in Sneed's shop. Forgetting his great running Breitling Super Ocean at home that day he attempted to recharge his newly built rechargeable watch. Taking a deep breath Bunny plugged the newly developed rechargeable watch into the outlet at Sneed;s shop but at the same time he released a blast of methane gas from his rather large body and the results were deadly. The watch had shorted out and caused the methane gas to explode sending Mr Bunmaster to his final reward and burning down Mr Sneed's shop. Sneed heartbroken over the loss of his shop & Bunny Bunmaster demise was able to legally sell Bunny's Breitling Super Ocean watch to Girard's watches and then he moved into Porters Rest & Funeral Home to live out his few remaining days. Girard (also known as Mr Large Pants) is very pleased to offer this fine timepiece at great price. When purchasing this timepiece possibly ask Girard what he knows about Porters Rest and Funeral home.
